Now that's a great piece! Very dynamic, I like its composition. It must have taken some time to get right all the stocks, especially the models. Also the blending and lighting could pose many difficulties. My favourite character in the background is the fire eater, great pose and choice to complete your circus troupe! Also numerous tiny details drew my attention, like the cobweb, monkey's outfit and time, close to midnight. The latter is definitely a nice touch to the mood and general idea of your photomanipulation. In my view, what could be slightly improved, is the lighting and shadows. For instance, maybe the fire eater or the fire ring in the background could be lighter? Maybe also the tiger or the models close to the fire might be treated with slightly stronger lighting/more golden-like colours, to reflect that it comes from the burning fire? Apart from it, I think it's a very impressive, greatly done piece. The strong colours, atmosphere and composition make it a very successful manipulation. Also the concept itself and all tiny details show how much work has been put to create this piece
At a first glance this is a striking image, well composed and with excellent, complimenting colors. I especially love the smoke effect, which creates a nice texture and softens the image.
But after looking at the image for a moment longer, it becomes slightly chaotic. There's too much for the eye to focus on, especially rhe monkey whose face seems to hover in the air, not attached to a body. First it looks like it's a logical composition, with a place for everyone, but that's not the case. For me it's slightly confusing that the other characters mostly just hover around. There's quite much going on in the picture. Maybe you could connect the characters somehow, use trapezes or other structures to give them a reason to be in the picture?
That being said I still think this is very nicely done. The couple in the middle are wonderful! The whole dreamy look works for this piece
I wasn't planing to inscribe on DA yet... yet I saw your art and as I didn't find you elsewhere I wanted to congrat you for this beautiful artwork. I could put this comment on ALL each of your pics because I LOVE your universe but... but I don't have the time xD
Off-topic : I saw you were in Ukraine ! I have Ukrainian origins but I live in France ~ (By the way, you did a mistake in the title... In France we would say "Cirque de la décadence" (it's the same for your pic "La Reve de la Nymphe", we say "Le Rêve" ^^). I was really happy seeing somebody writing french words for his titles... xDDDDD
Anyway I repeat it : Beautiful beautiful work *O* Great, I am FAN ! ♥
Hi! I'm absolutely fluttered and thrilled by your words! Thank you very much for it and also for correcting my horrible French (will correct the titles later). I have studied French a few years ago, I can read and understand it a bit. Hope to learn this language better in the future. And yes I'm Ukrainian. I'm happy to hear that you have Ukrainian origins! Have you ever visited Ukraine?
No, never, but I hope to be able to go in the near future You're welcome ! Personnally, I try to learn Ukrainian but... there isn't a lot of teachers in France for that and... so I learn alone. I can count until ten, say "My name is...", write my name in Ukrainian and also "Ukraine" in Ukrainian xDDDD And say "Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night", "Thank you" and "Please". That's all xDDD Thank you for your reply
It would be great! And my dream is to visit France someday . Your situation with learning Ukrainian is almost the same I have with my French. I know a few words and a bit of grammar. Though I like listening to some French music (Mylene Farmer, Dark sanctuary, songs from "Notre Dame de Paris""Romeo & Juliet" musicales) Btw if you need some help in learnig Ukrainian I'll be glad to help
